Some things are made out of necessity - and love. Our Baby Bum Salve was born in 2024 after the arrival of our sixth child. Searching the market for a natural diaper salve we could trust, we kept coming up short. So Claire did what she does: went back to the plants. Batch after batch, she refined the formula until it was exactly right - gentle enough for a newborn, effective enough to actually work.

The result is a clean, ingredient-honest salve built around organic coconut oil and shea butter for deep moisture and barrier protection, with bentonite clay to gently draw and purify, local raw honey for its time-honored antibacterial and wound-supporting properties, and organic helichrysum essential oil - one of the most prized botanicals in natural skin care - to support healing and soothe sensitive tissue.

This is one of our favorite products, and we think it will become one of yours. Made in small batches, with every ingredient chosen carefully and transparently. No synthetic fragrances, no mystery fillers - just honest plant medicine for your littlest one.

How to Use Your Salve

Prep the Skin

Gently clean baby's skin and pat completely dry before applying. A dry surface is important - moisture trapped under the salve can worsen irritation.

Apply a Small Amount

Scoop a pea-sized amount with clean fingertips and smooth gently over the diaper area, including any red or irritated patches. A little goes a long way.
