About The Flock Company

We're Claire and Matt Fischer — a Catholic family of eight with deep roots in the outdoors, a love for God's creation, and a belief that nature provides some of the most powerful medicine available to us.

Our story started simply: time outside, children learning to forage, and a growing fascination with how plants heal. Homeschooling gave us the gift of slowness — space to notice what grows in the field, what soothes a scrape, what calms a restless night.

How It All Began

The Flock Company was born when our duck, Pete, was injured and we set out to help him heal naturally. Pete made a full recovery, and something clicked. We'd already been making salves, tinctures, and remedies for our family and friends — now it felt like time to share them more widely.

The name stuck. Pete became our logo. And our little flock became the heart of everything we make.

Claire's Background

I've been a hairstylist for over 20 years — a career built on listening, connecting, and caring for people. Along the way, I became the person friends and family came to with questions about supplements, skincare, and natural health. That trust has been one of the greatest gifts of my life, and it pushed me to learn more.

I'm currently pursuing an herbalist certification to deepen my understanding of medicinal plants and bring even more care and intention to our formulations. Everything I make, I make the way I'd make it for my own children.

Our Process

Every product is small-batch, handcrafted, and made with ingredients we'd use ourselves — because we do. Behind the scenes, Matt handles design, labels, and the business side of things, making this a true family effort.

We're not a lab. We're not a corporation. We're a family that grows, forages, infuses, and crafts with care — and we hope you can feel that in every product.
